Pam's experience of animal management started with horses. From a teenager she worked at various polo and hunting yards from London to Lincolnshire. It was at one of these yards that she encountered some of the first weimaraners imported into the UK and her interest in dogs was born. She bought her first Weimaraner bitch in 1970 and has been showing and breeding successfully ever since. Her long term goal of owning a kennel was achieved when she bought The Sheilings Boarding Kennels in 1984.
Katherine has been with the kennels since, well, a long time. She is cool, calm and has never been known to "get in a flap". She has excellent dog skills and our canine customers seem to get along with her very well. Maybe it's something to do with the fact that she feeds, grooms and walks them all on a daily basis? Or maybe it's just because she's nice!
DEBBIE
MATTY
Daughter of the proprietor (and next door neighbour) Debbie often helps out at the kennels. Being medically trained she is especially good at administering drugs and overseeing the health requirements of our guests. Her 3 dogs, Cybil, Louis and Arnie often spend their days in the kennel when she is working elsewhere.
Son of the Proprietor, Matty is the odd-job man and weekend help. He also makes animal films. He taught goldfish how to play football, and played spot-the-difference with his horse, Flynn in the Channel 5 series; "Will Work for Nuts". He also recently built a giant hummingbird nest in the middle of Chicago and a huge wasp nest in central New York City for the National Geographic series; "Live Like an Animal"!
